Colorado Springs sits 70 miles south of us on I-25. We are based in Denver and drive down, so Springs work gets booked as a planned run. Give us a week or so of notice and the distance stops mattering.
El Paso County concrete comes in two clear eras. Old Colorado City and Patty Jewett date to the early 1900s, and the garages match. Briargate, Stetson Hills and the new builds out east are decades younger. The finish people ask for is similar at both ends, but the prep is where they split.

Old Colorado City and Patty Jewett were built in two waves, roughly 1880 to 1910 and again through about 1950. Patty Jewett is bungalow country, so many of those garages are detached and unheated. Southwest of downtown, The Broadmoor holds historic estates and Skyway is mostly 1950s and 1960s ranch homes.
Those older Springs slabs are prep jobs before they are coating jobs. We diamond grind instead of acid etching, chase the cracks and pull oil out of the concrete. An unheated detached garage in January is where polyaspartic earns its price, because it keeps curing after epoxy has quit. Around Old Colorado City, stained concrete often suits a shopfront or a converted space better than a gloss floor.
The north and east side of the city is a different job. Briargate went up through the 1980s and 1990s, and Stetson Hills followed in the mid-1980s along the Powers corridor. Wolf Ranch and Banning Lewis Ranch are still adding phases. The same corridor carries most of the city's shops and service bays, and those commercial floors justify the drive.
Newer garages here have three bays, tall doors and concrete that needs little repair. Cure time is the only common complication, because a slab poured last month is still full of water. Most Briargate and Wolf Ranch garages suit a full-broadcast flake system with a clear coat over it.
El Paso County sits in the middle of Hail Alley. The I-25 corridor from Castle Rock through Colorado Springs to Pueblo takes the worst of it. Golf-ball hail turns up most summers, so cars live in the garage rather than the driveway. A garage in daily use is a much harder floor than a garage full of boxes.
The city averages 38 inches of snow and about 243 sunny days a year. Snow melts fast in that sun and refreezes overnight, so the slab cycles constantly. A garage floor coating seals the concrete against that and against the ice melt off the tires.
