Greeley is a working city, and that shows up in its floors. Weld County produced more than 80 percent of Colorado's oil and gas in 2024. JBS runs its US beef headquarters and a packing plant here, alongside Leprino Foods and Hensel Phelps. A lot of the concrete in Greeley earns a living.

A Greeley shop slab has usually had a hard life before we see it. Diesel and hydraulic oil soak into bare concrete, and a coating will not bond through either. Wash-down is the other Greeley question. Food plants and truck shops get hosed out, so the floor needs chemical resistance and grip. The oldest housing sits near downtown and the University of Northern Colorado. Glenmere and the Monroe Avenue historic blocks run from the early 1900s into the 1940s. The garages there are small and often detached, on thin pours that have taken a century of freeze-thaw. Downtown also has converted commercial space where stained and polished concrete fits better than a gloss coating.
Old concrete is not a problem by itself. Ground open and repaired, a well-cured slab takes a coating well. The work is crack chasing, spall patching, oil treatment and a real grind. A flake system is the usual finish on these Glenmere garages, because it hides an old slab's history.
The west end of Greeley is a different city. Kelly Farm went up around 2000, and Owl Ridge started in the mid-2000s. Poudre River Ranch, out along 83rd Avenue, was mostly finished by 2018. West Greeley concrete is young and mostly undamaged, so those installs are quick and predictable.
Many west Greeley houses have basements, and the basement is often the bigger project. Moisture gets tested first, because a below-grade slab can push vapor up and blister the wrong coating.
